CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Nearly 67,000 votes were cast in the first four days of early voting.

West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner reported that 66,855 ballots had been filed in the November General Election by the end of day on Saturday. That number represents 5.5-percent of West Virginia’s 1.2 million registered voters. Early voting continues through Saturday across the Mountain State, with at least one polling location in all 55 counties.
Warner said that 62,366 in-person early votes have been cast, with 4,489 absentee ballots returned. The Secretary of State’s office said that 8,290 absentee ballots have been requested.
“Casting a ballot is one of the most powerful ways to make your voice heard,” Warner said. “Whether you head to the polls early or cast your ballot on Election Day, your vote counts, and every eligible West Virginian deserves a clear, accessible path to participate in shaping our shared future.”
Election Day is November 3.
