MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission Cross Country Championship will be hosted by Cabell Midland High School on Saturday, October 31. The field features four classes for the second time.
Last year, University (Class AAAA), Elkins (Class AAA), Doddridge County (Class AA) and Charleston Catholic (Class A) won the boys team championships. Cabell Midland (Class AAAA), Bridgeport (Class AAA), Frankfort (Class AA) and St. Marys (Class A) won the girls team championships. All defending state champions have qualified for this year’s meet.
The UHS boys own the state’s longest streak of titles. The Hawks have won seven years in a row in the largest classification.
