Man found dead after dirt bike crash in Fayette County

PRINCE, W.Va. — A Texas man, reported missing in Raleigh County, was found dead Thursday along CSX tracks in Fayette County following a dirt bike wreck.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the body of Paul Alexander Kirkland, 35, of Caddo Mills, Texas, was found near the Prince Railroad Station.

Deputies said Kirkland had been driving the dirt bike on state Route 41 Wednesday night when he lost control in a curve, went off the road and struck a tree.

Kirkland was thrown from the bike and struck a tree. He suffered a fatal head and neck injuries.

Kirkland had been reported missing earlier this week in Raleigh County.
