HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Jon Elmore scored 26 points and C.J. Burks had 25 during Marshall’s 91-71 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Friday night at the Cam Henderson Center.
Marshall (9-4), which finished its non-conference slate with the best start of the Dan D’Antoni era, improved to 8-0 at home.
Ajdin Penava recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and he piled up nine blocks and seven assists.
Junior guard Rondale Watson scored a career-high 12 points in his home debut for the Herd.
Nick Mayo’s 19 points led Eastern Kentucky (6-7), while Jackson Davis scored 17.
