Lunsford waives preliminary hearing

WESTON, W.Va. — The case of the Lewis County woman charged in the death of her three year old daughter will now head to a Grand Jury.

Lena Marie Lunsford, 34, was charged with child abuse in connection to the death of her daughter Aliayah.

Lena Lunsford waived her preliminary hearing Wednesday.

She is charged with child abuse with death in the case of Aliayah Lunsford, who was first reported missing September 24, 2011.

Lunsford’s bond is set at $250,000.

A bond modification for home confinement for Lunsford was denied during the hearing.
