CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice announced Wednesday his appointment to replace former House Speaker Tim Armstead and represent District 40.
Justice appointed Warren “Dean” Jeffries to replace Armstead, who resigned last month to run for the state Supreme Court.
Jeffries won the Republican primary in May to succeed Armstead. He is running against Democrat Melissa Riggs Huffman in the general election.
