Fire destroys former drug recovery center in Preston County

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — The Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department along with four other departments were called out early this morning to a blaze on Route 7 just outside of town.

The fire engulfed the former Olympic Center. The facility was once a drug rehab center for young people. The blaze started in the early morning hours. Units arrived to find the entire build engulfed in flames. Fire fighters were called back to the scene this morning after the blaze rekindled.

There were no injuries and an investigation is underway.
