Investigators say two recent deadly fires in West Virginia were accidents.
A Friday afternoon blaze at a residence in Kanawha County claimed the life of Geraldine Parsons. Parsons, 82, had a faint pulse when firefighters pulled her out the burning home in St. Albans.
Investigators list the cause as accidental. The residence did not have working smoke detectors.
Investigators in the state Fire Marshal’s Office also say a Sunday morning blaze near Princeton that killed an elderly man also had an accidental cause.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office was also called in to investigate a large apartment building fire on Mitchell Street in Spencer Friday. The cause of that blaze is going down as undetermined.
