Lincoln County crash claims two lives

A man and a woman are dead following a vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Lincoln County.

State Troopers say the driver of the car, slammed into a parked tractor trailer along Route 10 in West Hamlin at about 12:30.

Thick fog in the area prevented a medical helicopter from transporting the victims to the hospital.

Troopers say driver Shaun Terry, 33, and passenger Tasha Icenhower, 22, were taken by ambulance to a Huntington hospital. Icenhower was dead upon arrival and Terry died a few hours later.

An investigation into the crash continues. Police say alcohol may have been a factor.
