The vice president at Fairmont State University is on unpaid leave and is the subject of an investigation, university officials confirmed Thursday.
The Clarksburg Exponent Telegram first reported that David Tamm, the vice president and chief information officer at FSU, was placed on leave. The newspaper says Tamm is under a federal investigation.
Ann Booth, the director of university communications at FSU, said she could not confirm a federal investigation. However, she said Tamm was on unpaid leave and campus police were involved in an investigation.
No details have been released. Tamm has not been charged with any crimes.
Tamm has worked at FSU since 2005.
