Man in jail after two state chase

A man suspected of several robberies in Pennsylvania and West Virginia lead police on a high speed chase on I-79 Tuesday night.

Fairmont Police say Rocco Iacovone, 26, held up a Go-Mart and made off with cash and cigarettes. Police spotted his van entering the highway headed north and the chase was on. He led police into Pennsylvania topping out at over 90 miles-per-hour before Pennsylvania State Troopers blew his tires with a spike strip. He continued on until he shredded the tires and crashed.

Iacovone is also suspected of robbing a Subway restaurant and gas station near the Meadows Casino in Pennsylvania. He’s being held at the Washington County Jail.
