WAR, W.Va. — A fire that occurred at Big Creek High School in McDowell County last month has been ruled arson.
Assistant State Fire Marshal Ryan McFarland said they found enough evidence to rule the fire as incendiary.
Authorities have asked for the public’s help in identifying the person involved with the July 17 incident.
A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
The school was scheduled to be demolished before the fire occurred.
