MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The man accused in the February 2015 shooting death of a Shamel Davis Jr., 19, could serve up to 40 years in prison after being found him guilty Wednesday following a week long trial in Berkeley County Circuit Court.
A Berkeley County jury found Colin Crosen, 19, guilty on one count of voluntary manslaughter and five counts of wanton endangerment.
Crosen was found not guilty of conspiracy, and co-defendant Brian Cook Jr., 20, was acquitted of all charges.
The men were both indicted in May on single counts of murder and conspiracy and five counts of wanton endangerment.
The shooting stemmed from an argument on Facebook over a relationship with a girl.
Cook had allegedly driven Crosen to meet Davis for a fistfight when the shooting occurred.
Crosen is scheduled to be sentenced on May 2.
