CHARLESTON, W.Va. — “It was a very eventful 24 hours,” Charleston Police Chief of Detectives Lt. Steve Cooper said of a vehicle pursuit Wednesday which lead to the arrest of two people wanted for murder.

Bobby Hall, 42, and Misty Rucker, 38, were taken into custody in Clendenin Wednesday night after a deadly shooting the day before on Garrison Avenue in Charleston.
Timothy Jett, 55, of Charleston, was shot and killed. Audrey Short, 38, of Charleston, was also shot and still remains critical condition as of Thursday morning.
The chase began around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday. Cooper said police laid spike strips along Route 4 in Queen Shoals
“He (Hall) kept running and he was going on rims and sparks were flying,” he said on Thursday’s “580 Live” heard on MetroNews affiliate 580-WCHS in Charleston. “Ultimately, State Police were able to overcome him and he ended up crashing the vehicle. He was taken into custody, so was Ms. Rucker. She was in the vehicle too.”
A Roane County sheriff’s deputy spotted the two, Cooper said. There was a $10,000 reward for information leading to their arrests, but Cooper said police officers are not eligible for any reward.
“We got some tips that were pretty good, but it didn’t lead to the arrest. What lead to the arrest was a Roane County deputy actually seeing the vehicle drive past him,” he said.
Before the pursuit, Cooper said Hall threatened to kill nearly a dozen police officers.
“Mr. Hall had actually made threats through a friend of his. He want to go ‘down in history’ by taking out 10-12 police officers with him, so there was a heightened sense of caution on our part,” Cooper said.
Police said they believe the two stole a Jeep in Kentucky and drove back to northern Kanawha County.
Hall and Rucker will be arraigned Thursday morning in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. Both are charged with first degree murder.
