Maryland teacher comes under fire for anti-Trump comment on Facebook

SMITHSBURG, Md. – A teacher at Smithsburg High School is taking some heat for a social-media comment stating that he would remove students who wear apparel supporting President Donald Trump from his class.

History teacher Joshua Cramer called Trump “a symbol of racism and bigotry” in a post to Facebook.

The comment has since gone viral, with some want to see Cramer disciplined and others wanting him fired.

The Washington County School system stated they were not aware of any students who have been removed from a county classroom or any school property for expressing political beliefs, and that such an action would not be condoned in any way.
