Pedestrian struck on I-81 in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va – West Virginia State Police were on the scene of an accident Sunday night near Exit 14 on northbound I-81.

Four vehicles were reportedly involved in an accident shortly after 8:00p.m.

Berkeley County 911 Dispatchers told WDVM several people were taken to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment.

Officials say a pedestrian was struck on the highway and transported to the hospital.

There’s no word on how badly the victims might have been hurt.

All lanes were closed for about 20 minutes.
