One killed by train in Berkeley County

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Police have identified a man killed by a train in Martinsburg as Robert Fisher, Jr., 43.

Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller told WEPM News Fisher was on the tracks near Gantt’s Mobile Home Community off of Harlan Springs Road when he was hit by a CSX train just before 5:30 Wednesday evening.

The Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
