Motorist dies after two-vehicle crash in Berkeley County

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on West Virginia 9 Thursday in Berkeley County.

Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller told the Herald Mail the deceased individual had reportedly been driving recklessly, and nearly struck eight vehicles near the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles regional office.

Deputies were en route to the area when the crash was reported at about 3:00 in the afternoon near Ridge Road.

Two people in the other vehicle were taken to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment.
