Shots fired, vehicle stolen in Fayette County incident

SCARBRO, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend incident in which shots were fired and a vehicle was stolen.

Deputies responded to Cardinal Road in Scarbro just after midnight Sunday for a stolen vehicle and brandishing complaint. They learned several shots were fired at a nearby residence along Dove Road.

Individuals from both residences were believed to be involved in an earlier altercation on Terry Avenue. One suspect has been identified and is not from the area. Deputies are working to identify another suspect involved.

A search continues Monday for the stolen vehicle, a 2010 Chevrolet Silvarado with West Virginia tag 6LG706.
