Raleigh County man wounded in early morning shooting

NAOMA, W.Va. — A Raleigh County man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck early Thursday morning at his home in Naoma.

According to Raleigh County Sheriff’s Deputies, the incident happened sometime between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. inside the residence on Drews Creek Road.

The victim, Willis Ray Gunnoe, 54, was taken to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed.  Deputies said they are looking for a suspect in connection to the case.
