NUTTER FORT, W.Va. — A five-run fourth inning proved to be the difference as No. 5 Notre Dame picked up a quality win over No. 3 Charleston Catholic, 7-3 in the West Virginia Catholic Schools tournament.
Samuel Romano pitched a complete game for Notre Dame (7-3), scattering four hits while striking out four and walking two.
Sam Snider drove in a pair of runs for the Irish.
Charleston Catholic fell to 8-4.
