MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Mon Health System, which operates Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, has entered an affiliation agreement with Grafton City Hospital.
Mon Health will provide business support and purchasing power for the smaller hospital in Grafton.
“The national health care economy is posing significant challenges to many community hospitals,” said David Goldberg, president and CEO of Mon Health System said in a news release. “Mon Health is proud to live up to its not-for-profit mission and its legacy by stepping up to help maintain healthcare choice in the Grafton community.”
Grafton City Hospital has 25 beds.
The agreement keeps both organizations independent.
