Huntington police investigate shooting death

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Thursday night shooting of a Detroit man in Huntington is now being investigated as a murder.

Huntington police announced Friday afternoon Irvin Lanard Gilmore, 21, was pronounced dead at a Huntington hospital after his body was found at around 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of 25th Street.

Investigators said Gilmore suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
