CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Coronavirus cases in West Virginia increased by 126 confirmed results between Thursday and Friday evenings.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources announced Friday night that 4,783 cases have been identified, in which 1,416 cases are active.
West Virginia also reached 100 deaths related to the pandemic; state officials confirmed the death of an 84-year-old male from Cabell County in their Friday morning report.
New records for hospitalizations, intensive care unit cases and people on ventilators were also reached; sixty-nine people are hospitalized, 37 people are in the ICU and 15 West Virginians are on ventilators.
Local and state officials operated multiple testing locations on Friday; 279 people were tested in Berkeley County, 416 people were tested in Jefferson County and 219 people were tested in Mercer County.
Testing events will be held tomorrow and Sunday in Berkeley, Jefferson and Monongalia counties:

— Ranson Civic Center (432 W. 2nd Ave. Ranson, WV 25438); 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
— WVU Coliseum (Monongahela Blvd. Morgantown, WV 26505); 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
