FAIRLEA, W.Va. — Residents in nine West Virginia counties will have an opportunity Thursday to receive a dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
West Virginians who are at least 70 years old will be able to receive a shot at the clinic to be held at the State Fair of West Virginia Fairgrounds.
Five hundred doses will be available for residents of Fayette, Greenbrier, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Pocahontas, Raleigh, Summers and Wyoming counties. The clinic will be at the West Virginia Building.
State Fair CEO Kelly Collins said the fair has never had an event like Thursday’s clinic.
“It is truly probably one of the most important events we’ve ever had,” she said.

The clinic will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
