MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s three-game road trip to Texas is being cut short. The Big 12 Conference has announced that Thursday’s WVU-Baylor game has been canceled.
The Mountaineers are preparing to face TCU tonight and were originally slated to visit the No. 2 Bears Thursday afternoon in Waco.
No. 10 West Virginia (15-6, 8-4 Big 12) will next face Kansas State Saturday at the Coliseum.

WVU remains the last team to defeat Baylor (17-0, 9-0). They did so on Senior Day last March in Morgantown. The Bears have played only half of their originally scheduled 18-game conference slate due to COVID pauses.
Three rescheduled games have been filtered into the ‘open week’ for WVU. The Mountaineers will host Baylor Tuesday, March 2 (5 p.m., ESPN/2). West Virginia will welcome TCU to the Coliseum on Thursday, March 4 (Time TBD/ESPN+). Oklahoma State will be the Senior Day opponent on Saturday, March 6 (Time TBD-ESPN/2).
