GLENVILLE, W.Va. — Zach Feathers drove in seven runs as No. 8 South Harrison defeated Tyler Consolidated No. 4 Tyler Consolidated 9-1 in the semifinals of the Little Kanawha Conference tournament. The Hawks will face Braxton County Friday at 5 p.m. in the title game.
Feathers drove in South Harrison’s first run with an RBI groundout in the fourth to even the score at 1-1. He would later add a pair of three-run doubles in the fifth and seventh innings. The Hawks scored five runs in the fifth to take a lead they would not relinquish.
South Harrison (20-8) starting pitcher Caden Hall pitched six strong innings. He allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters.
In addition to Feathers, Tommy Davis and Justin Herrod also had multi-hit games for SHHS.
Tyler Consolidated’s (19-5) lone run came in the first inning. A sacrifice bunt from Mason Nichols scored leadoff batter Jayden Helmick.
