Glenville State College, Aramark reach agreement on services

GLENVILLE, W.Va. — Glenville State College on Friday announced it has renewed its partnership with Aramark food services.

According to the institution, the college had attempted to extend the contract before conducting a request for proposal process recommended by the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office.

“I appreciate this ongoing partnership with Aramark,” Glennville State College President Mark Manchin said. “This contract extension will facilitate the continued service that Aramark has provided to the students, faculty, and staff of Glenville State for over 20 years. Together, we look forward to major renovations to our cafeteria and snack bar areas, as well as a new Starbucks.”

Glenville State College received $1.5 million for the deal and $500,000 to complete building a space for a Starbucks location on campus. The college will get $1.5 million next June for renovating and upgrading the cafeteria and snack bar areas.
