2 injured in Martinsburg shooting

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two people were injured in a shooting Friday morning in Martinsburg.

State police tell the Panhandle News Network they responded just before 2 a.m. to the 500 block of Warm Springs Avenue after a report of a shooting involving two vehicles.

Trooper T.A. Cathey discovered a man and woman had been shot. Both victims were conscious and breathing and were transported to Berkeley Medical Center for treatment.

The woman was treated and released while the man is in stable condition.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored SUV of unknown make or model.

The investigation is ongoing.
