High school trainer charged in child pornography investigation

INWOOD, W.Va. — A Musselman High School athletic trainer is free on bond after being arrested on child pornography charges.

According to state police in Martinsburg, Sgt. J.D. See was told on Oct. 17 that teacher/athletic trainer Douglas Wilson had told a Berkeley County Schools investigator that he had been ‘scammed’ after viewing pornography of ‘younger’ persons.

State police executed a search warrant this week at Wilson’s residence where multiple laptops were located and seized. A forensic examination confirmed the presence of child pornography and child erotica, and Wilson was taken into custody on the charges of felony distribution and exhibition of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and misdemeanor child erotica.

Wilson was taken before a Magistrate and released on a $9,000 cash/surety bond.
