CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Clarksburg woman faces charges after police found her overdosed in her home with her infant by her side.
Witnesses called 911 to the home in Clarksburg Friday night of Shanique Joyner, 25, of Clarksburg. She was found on the bathroom floor, unresponsive. Police say the baby was also there in the floor with her and they discovered uncapped needles and what appeared to be heroin.
Court documents say Joyner was the only caretaker of her infant child during the incident.
Joyner has been charged with child neglect creating risk of death or serious injury.
