Man arrested in Memorial Day shooting at Martinsburg convenience store

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A man is behind bars and two other men are recovering from injuries following a Memorial Day shooting at a convenience store in Martinsburg.

Pramere Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to Berkeley County Sheriff Nathan Harmon.

The victims, identified as Corey Ray-Fagan and Jamal Bland, were shot just before 12:30 p.m. Monday at the ROCS Store located at 1100 Shepherdstown Road.

Harmon said blood was observed at the scene.

Ray-Fagan and Blane were taken to Berkeley Medical Center and then had to be flown to a nearby trauma center. Both were listed in stable condition.

The store was temporarily closed during the initial investigation.

“At this time we can confirm that this was an isolated incident involving the suspect/victims and that the incident remains under investigation,” Harmon said Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Cpl. T.L. Funk II at (304)-267-7000 or the Berkeley County Crime Solvers at (304)-267-4999.

State police are also assisting in the investigation.
