CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of the state beginning Tuesday night.

The advisory expects to last until around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.
According to meteorologists, mixtures of ice and snow are expected overnight in the southern and eastern parts of the state.
“Slick conditions are possible overnight, especially for untreated surfaces,” the National Weather Service said.
They also said as much of an inch of snow could fall overnight, mainly near the eastern mountains.
Freezing rain and snow showers are likely Wednesday morning, according to the NWS, however, drier conditions are expected for the remainder of the day.
