Fugitive found days after escaping from work release

CLARSKBURG, W.Va. — A Gilmer County man has been arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force after escaping from the Huttonsville Correctional Center.

Kevin Curry, 34, was arrested Tuesday afternoon around 1 p.m. in Clarksburg, WV, after escaping from a work release program February 16th. Curry was found by the task force after they were asked by West Virginia State Police for assistance in locating him.

Acting U.S. Marshal Terry Moore said it’s the job of the task force to assist state and local departments in apprehending fugitives.

“The Marshals Service was glad to assist in this case and safely bring this suspect to Justice,” said Moore.
