Man’s body found in Wheeling abandoned home

WHEELING, W.Va. — A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered inside an abandoned home in South Wheeling.

Wheeling police detectives say a man’s body was found in the home in the 4200 block of Jacob Street around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Demolition crews whow were in the area were the ones to find it in the basement.

The West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the man and determine a cause of death.
