SHOCK, W.Va. — A man in Shock, charged with attempted murder of his mother.
State police troopers were called to a “shots fired” in the Gilmer County community Sunday.
Troopers said Benjamin Wood, 45, had barricaded himself inside a home and fired three shots at his mother. She was uninjured, according to the state police.
State police and staff from Gilmer County 911 assisted in removing Wood from the residence without incident.
Wood is charged with attempted murder and currently sits in the Central Regional Jail.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
