Second person dead from Cabell County crash

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — Two people are now reported dead from a head-on collision near the intersection of Frontage Road Monday.

According to Cabell County Chief Deputy Doug Adams, John Dzurenka, 80, of Point Pleasant, and Theodore Hoffert, 62, of New Haven, were killed in the crash in Cabell County.

Dzurenka’s wife, Susan, 79, was driving her vehicle when Hoffert’s car crossed over the center and hit them head-on. Dzurenka was pronounced dead Monday night. His wife reamins in critical but stable condition.

The crash is under further investigation.
