Morgantown police release name of murder victim

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Police have released the name of the man who was shot and killed in Morgantown early Monday morning.

According to police, Richard Demoan Hall, 39, was found dead in the middle of Brockway Avenue not far from downtown Morgantown.

MECCA 911 received multiple reports of shots fired in the 500 block of Brockway Avenue around 3 a.m. and found an adult male dead of apparent gunshot wounds in the street.

The police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard something early Monday. Detectives would also like to review any video surveillance or ring doorbell footage from the area.
