The comprehensive all-sports award is presented to the overall boys’ and overall girls’ athletic programs in Class A, Class AA and Class AAA. A total of six Champions Cups are awarded.

“We are happy to announce the 2023-24 Champions Cup recipients to recognize the outstanding academic and athletic achievements of our high schools,” said WVSSAC Executive Director David Price. “We have so many student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and on the field, court, track and pool. This is one more way to bring attention to their accomplishments.”

Morgantown High School finished first in both the Class AAA girls’ and boys’ competition. The Mohigans won four state championships in 2023-24 – girls’ cross country, girls’ soccer, girls’ volleyball and boys’ basketball.
