MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Spring Valley High School graduate and Kenova native Wyatt Milum has been the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year. Milum is the third Mountaineer to earn the honor from the conference. Yodny Cajuste (2018) and Colton McKivitz (2019) previously claimed the award.

Milum jumped into the starting lineup during his true freshman season in 2021. He has played in 47 games as a Mountaineer with 43 starts. Milum also has not allowed a sack in 34 of the past 36 games in which he played, including not allowing any over the past two seasons. He was named a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy, given to the nation’s best interior lineman.
Milum is a first-team All-Big 12 selection after earning second-team honors as a junior. Milum is projected to be one of the top offensive tackles taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Two more Mountaineers have earned All-Big 12 honors. TJ Jackson is a first-team pick. In his lone season as a Mountaineer, the transfer from Troy played in all 12 games and he made nine starts on the defensive line. Jackson finished the regular season with 38 tackles, including 20 solo stops, 6.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.
Redshirt freshman Josiah Trotter has been named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. Trotter finished second on the WVU roster with 92 tackles. He announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday.
WVU’s honorable mention selections are Preston Fox, Nick Malone, Sean Martin, Tomas Rimac and Kole Taylor.
