Friday’s Mega Millions drawing set to be one of the biggest jackpots recorded

One of the Mega Millions’ largest jackpots in its history is set to be drawn on Friday.

The drawing for a jackpot is currently estimated to be worth $1.15 billion, which would make it the fifth largest drawing in Mega Millions history.

No ticket matched all six numbers on the Christmas Eve drawing, which bolstered Friday’s drawing to the top of the record books in terms of estimated value.

The largest winning jackpot seen in America came two years ago when a winning Powerball ticket of $2.04 billion was discovered in California. The largest jackpot from Mega Millions came on August 8, 2023, when a $1.6 billion ticket was discovered in Florida.

Mega Millions sells individual tickers for $2, but the odds of winning the jackpot are one in 302,575,350. According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning prize is one in 24.

The Mega Millions drawing will be at 11 p.m.
