Mingo PSD not pumping water through its system

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo Public Service District announced Tuesday that it had stopped pumping water through its system, blaming inclement weather and the condition of the Tug River.

The PSD said it is currently unable to “effectively treat the water.”

“For that reason we are not pumping water out to our customers. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will begin pumping as soon as possible,” the Facebook post said. “After water is restored the entire system will be on a boil water advisory with the exception of Justice, Lick Creek, Buffalo Mtn to the bank of Mingo, Edgerton, and Puncheon camp to old 84 Lumber.”
