LEWISBURG, W.Va. — A Greenbrier county woman is dead and her son is charged in her death.
Deputies were called to the home on Anderson Road in Lewisburg Monday evening to find Shirley Gabbert, 72, dead of a gunshot wound at her home.
Investigators processed the crime scene and took into cutsoy her son, Andrew Gabbert, 33. He’s in the Southern Regional Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department did not indicate what may have prompted the shooting.
