Two people arrested on arson charges

JANE LEW, W.Va. — Two suspects charged with setting fire to a stolen vehicle in Lewis County are behind bars in the Central Regional Jail.

Dylan McCracken, 38, and Dawn Pietripaoli, 45, both of Lewis County, were arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree arson for allegedly setting fire to a stolen vehicle in an empty lot in Jane Lew on March 16.

It was determined by investigators with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office that the blaze was incendiary in nature. The West Virginia State Police along with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant for McCracken and Pietripaoli’s arrest following that determination.

Bond is set at $120,000 for McCracken and $100,000 for Pietripaoli.
