RANSON, W.Va. — There will be a celebration of life event Thursday for the man who was killed during Saturday afternoon’s storms in the Eastern Panhandle.

Tyler Sigler, 28, of Charles Town, died on Locust Hill golf course when a tree fell on the golf cart he was in.
Those at the scene attempted life saving measures on Sigler, but he would soon be pronounced dead at Jefferson Medical Center.
The funeral for Sigler will be at 2 o’clock at the Ranson Civic Center.
Sigler wrestled in college for Liberty University before becoming an assistant wrestling coach for Washington High School. According to head coach Codie Gustines, Sigler made a difference.
“He was a great wrestling coach, but he was a lot better person that what he was a wrestling coach,” Gustines said.
Gustines says his phone hasn’t been quiet since the news of Sigler’s passing broke.
“I’ve had people reach out, numbers that I’ve never had any contact with, just saying how big of an impact he had on them. It’s just been a constant all day long of people telling me how much they appreciated Tyler and how much he’s going to be missed,” Gustines said.
Gustines also says the Sigler family will be setting up a scholarship for wrestlers in Tyler’s name. They’re encouraging the public to donate.
“That’s going the wrestler financially in school,” Gustines said. “Anyone from the ages of five into the early-20’s has had Tyler Sigler in their corner at some point, so he has impacted a lot of people and they’re going to be able to remember that.”
