BARBOUR COUNTY, W.Va. –A woman is recovering after being rescued in Barbour County when the boat she and her husband were on capsized, sweeping her down the river.

Bonnie J. Brady, 61, of Moatsville, was reported missing around 7 p.m. Thursday in the Tygart River near the Cove Run access point in Moatsville. Multiple agencies responded including Barbour County EMS, all of Barbour County Fire Department, Corporal Ben Stout of the WV State Police (Philippi Detachment), and Barbour County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Mayle.

When police arrived they learned that Ms. Brady had been swept downriver over a series of waterfalls after the boat capsized.
