WVRC Media Cares for Kids Radiothon underway

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Today marks the beginning of the WVU Medicine Children’s and WVRC Media Cares for Kids Radiothon to benefit patients and families in need.

WVRC Media personalities will broadcast live from the Hostetler Family Resource Center on the 10th floor of WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital on Thursday and Friday.

“We’re excited to continue partnering with WVRC Media to share all the amazing things happening at WVU Medicine Children’s across the state and region,” Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., C.N.O.R., chief administrative officer of WVU Medicine Children’s, said. “We can’t wait for listeners to meet our dedicated team and hear from our inspiring patients. We are grateful for the community’s support to raise critical funds that help our kids and expectant mothers.”

During the extended broadcast patients and families will share stories of hope and healing with listeners made possible by the care received there. WVU Medicine Children’s healthcare providers will also join the broadcast to talk about their special opportunities to help young people across the state and region.

“We are elated to continue the Radiothon this year for the benefit of WVU Children’s Hospital. This year ten of our stations will participate in the two day broadcast. We hope the good people of West Virginia will again support the event and thus make a difference in the lives of thousands of West Virginia families. We’d like to thank all of our great sponsors for assisting us in this year’s Radiothon,” President and CEO of WVRC Media, George Pelletier said.
