EVERSON, W.Va. — John Marshall (236) and Fairmont Senior (252) qualified for next week’s WVSSAC State Golf Tournament by finishing first and second, respectively, in the Class AAA Region I tourney Monday at Green Hills Country Club.

John Marshall’s Hayden Harvey (78) won medalist honors, while teammates Drew Marling and Brayden Kempkens and North Marion’s Matthew Snoderly and Fairmont Senior’s Carson Hamilton all finished as individual runners-up by shooting 79.

Snoderly and East Fairmont’s Garrett Bosley qualified for the state tournament as individuals as the top two finishers from a non-advancing team.
