WVU legacy and top 2026 prospect Kevin Brown commits to join the Mountaineers

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One of the top offensive lineman prospects for the Class of 2026 has announced that he is headed to Morgantown. Harrisburg High School senior Kevin Brown announced his commitment to sign with West Virginia on Tuesday afternoon.

Brown made the announcement live on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show.

Brown is the son of former WVU offensive lineman Tim Brown. He played for the Mountaineers from 1999-2004, the last four of those years were under the direction of Rich Rodriguez.

Kevin Brown previously committed to play at Penn State but he decommitted after James Franklin was fired as the head coach of the Nittany Lions. He is a 6-foot-5, 285-pound tackle. Brown is listed by 247 Sports as the nation’s No. 9 offensive line prospect and the third-best Class of 2026 athlete in Pennsylvania.

Brown has been presented with scholarship offers from many of the nation’s elite programs, including Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

Harrisburg currently sports a 12-0 record and the Cougars have advanced to the PIAA Class 6A state quarterfinals.

The early signing period begins December 3.
