Social media post says Andrew Wolfe bouncing back after weekend seizure

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Wounded West Virginia National Guard Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe suffered a seizure over the weekend.

In a post on social media, Wolfe’s mother, Melody Wolfe, said the seizure was “very scary to see.”

She said her son was tended to “super quickly” at the rehabilitation hospital and he is still moving forward in the right direction.

Wolfe said she was told by doctors that seizures are common for people with the brain injury her son suffered. She said her son’s medical team wants to keep him under close observation so they moved him to ICU as a cautionary measure.

“We are truly appreciative of everyone’s support and prayers because they are still needed.”

Melody Wolfe said her son’s rehab will be “a long journey.”

Andrew Wolfe and fellow Guard member Sarah Beckstrom were shot on the streets on Washington, D.C. the day before Thanksgiving. Beckstrom died on Thanksgiving Day.
